About Beth Klein
Attorney Beth Klein was given the blessing of a legal education, and she decided to use law to improve lives beyond the typical practice of law. Her motto is: “We use our power for good.”
She began her practice with a notable boutique trial firm in 1987. She proved her courtroom skills and became first woman national trial attorney for Owens Corning in the asbestos litigation. From 1993 to 1999 she tried cases across the United States against some of the most skilled trial lawyers in America in high-risk cases. Few lawyers have had this type of experience and OJT.

In 1999 Beth Klein, P.C. was founded. In Colorado, Beth resolved a state-wide class action against American Cemwood for defective roofing materials that affected thousands of Colorado homeowners. She brought the only successful automobile coverage PIP enhanced benefits class action against American Family Insurance in District Court in Boulder, Colorado. As a result of her work, 27,000 automobile policies in Colorado were ordered to provide enhanced coverages. Thousands of Coloradans benefited from improved coverage that applied retroactively and complied with Colorado law.
She began tackling the injustices of human trafficking and exploitation of vulnerable people in 1979. Over the years she represented exploited and victimized people in civil court and worked to recover compensation for the damages they have suffered. Beth Klein has written law for states and governments around the world – for free.
After the massive earthquake in Haiti, Klein worked with the US Military, State Department, and hundreds of families who had adopted a child in Haiti. Beth Klein spearheaded a national effort to bring children to waiting parents in the United States.
In January 2024 Beth Klein traveled to Uganda with Heal & Thrive to open a literacy center outside of Soroti. This center will support 120 widows and single mothers. This center will teach reading, writing and basic math to conduct business. Literacy is critical in the fight to prevent slavery. In Kenya and Uganda, women and girls who have endured cattle raiders, the violence of Joseph Koni, and the AIDS pandemic are often the ones to care for entire families that have been decimated. Prostituting for a packet of sugar to help feed young children is unacceptable in this world.
Beth Klein has sued military contractors committing abuses in war and conflict zones. After the surge in Iraq, Beth Klein accepted the case of Dawson v. Fluor which in 2012 was voted as “Case of the Year” by the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and was entered in the Texas Verdict Hall of Fame. In order to prosecute this case, Beth had to locate witnesses in Iraq, negotiate with the emerging Iraqi government to permit its citizens to testify, and to navigate ICE and Homeland Security to secure the testimony. The trial resulted in a $19 Million verdict.
Currently, Beth accepts legal malpractice, products liability, and serious personal injury and death matters in Aspen, Basalt, Carbondale and Glenwood Springs, Colorado. She limits her practice so that she can give each of her clients’ personal attention.
Beth has nearly 40 years of experience in products liability cases. These matters involve a product that has failed resulting in acute injury. Products liability cases that Beth has handled include gas line, gas grill, propane tanks and appliance leaks and malfunctions that have caused explosions. She has undertaken representation of clients who have been severely burned and disfigured in Magic Bullet blender and other home product explosions. She also has represented clients who have been severely burned and suffered amputations in HVAC and water heater malfunctions. Beth has extensive experience in working with people in Colorado who have suffered severe burns, disfigurement, amputation, and paralysis. She understands their needs and struggles.
Beth accepted her first legal malpractice case in 1990 and has represented lawyers and clients around Colorado harmed by lawyers. Her broad perspective and knowledge of insurance coverage issues in legal malpractice cases are essential to successful resolutions of these complex cases.
""Honest, Talented, Realistic, and Compassionate Those four words best describe Beth Klein as an attorney and person. I know of no other personal injury plaintiff’s attorney who has the depth of knowledge and experience that Beth Klein possesses. Her practice ranges from automobile accidents, to mass tort, to class actions. She has done and seen it all.
